Prompt: This is my attempt to incorporate angst and romantic gestures in a fic. Which sorta came out as schmoop and h/c. Written for violettestars in the spn_summerlove challenge.
Summary: Dean and Sam are hunting a phantom mustang herd on the property of spitfire ranch owner Mandy O’Malley. She can’t stand Dean. He finds her irritating and oversensitive. So of course they must have sex.
Note: Fic named after the song whose melody I can’t get out of my head. It quite possibly has nothing whatsoever else to do with the story. Does that matter? Thanks to mizbhaven13 for the lightning fast beta.

If I didn't have a throbbing migraine right now I'd finish reading this story. I started and already laughed out hard a few times. E.g. "equipement" :D
Nicely written, very sarcastic which gets Dean's inner tone very well, imho. I'm gonna read the rest tomorrow.

I loved Robin. She was a perfect match for Dean. Great mix of snark, sexiness, and hotness. A bit of hurt!Dean is always good, too.

Typically, I don't. Exceptions include: threesomes, where it's backstory for eventual wincest, or genderswap.

but um...this fic was really awesome and it's on my very short list of non-wincest het fics that I actually really like. I think it really helped that Mandy's not an airhead, that she gives as good as she gets, you know what I mean?

Okay, as I promised I'm reading on. Took me a little longer than I wanted...

I still like your over-all writing style a lot. It's easy to read, witty but also not too simple, just has the right amount of everything, if that makes sense ;)

Oh, God. “Dean, you were practically delirious. You probably hallucinated all kinds of things."

Dean's mouth twisted wryly. “I didn't hallucinate the fact that you kissed me.”

Haha, yeah, Dean can tell the difference between a real kiss and a hallucination ;) Nice one.

Hey, this was really good. Really enjoyed this fic. I think you got Dean very well, and I also liked Mandy. I could identify with her a little (Okay, I secretly imagined her to be me *coughs*), and she was an interesting character that seemed less one-dimensional than Cassie, although they seem to be of a similar type (the bitchy attitude and the arguing e.g.).

Really nice fic. Enjoyed it a lot :)
