SciFi has done a remarkably nice job with SG-verse, considering the quality of most things make for the channel.
And SPN was just seeming to catch on. The CW has some advertising issues - I watch the commercials (both during and for the show), and realize that they have no idea who the hell is watching this show. They seem to think they are selling it to young men, "Buffy for Boys", but it seems to be mostly grabbing women 16-40 who like the gore and violence, but stay for the "family drama" without all the typical "family drama" trappings...
Sci Fi has also done an exceptional job with Battlestar Galactica, although you are SO right about the quality of most of their stuff. I mean, Aztec Rex???? Puhleeese!!
Perhaps for us 16-40 year old women family drama = gore.
True, but did you see what SciFi did to Sliders? Ugh. I'm not sure it'd do SN justice. Maybe if they do call it quits, they'll know in time to give Kripke and Co a heads up and they can fast forward?
