Dark Angel Fangirls, You're My Only Hope!

While I'm eagerly awaiting ep 2 of Supernatural season 4 (22 minutes to go!!!!) maybe someone can help me?  I'm working on a Dark Angel fanfic and I need to know a couple of things:

• What year in the future did the last episode, "Freak Nation," take place in?
• X5-493, Max's clone, is referred to as Sam in whatever ep that was that she appeared in.  Does that mean her name is Samantha?  Does anyone know?

I want to say it takes place in 2020, but without watching it, I'm not going to swear to it.

"Sam" isn't even listed in the characters/credits on imdb, so I don't know what to tell you on that one. Could be she just calls herself Sam -- the X-series picked some odd names.

I looked at the Wikipedia entry and some ep guides. Freak Nation was 2020, and Sam is only ever referred to as Sam. Normally I'd say yeah, sort for Samantha, but then again Max isn't usually a girl's name and doesn't seem short for anything, so I don't know. I know that's not terribly helpful.

I believe it would be 2020 because the first season is set in 2019, as the poster above said ^^^

They just call her "453" when you look up the episode guide. However, if they call her Sam, that was probably her "normal" name instead of her designation. I remember the episode vividly - yet, I can't remember 453's name lol. I just called her "Max's clone" and "453." She was deep undercover with the husband and son when Max blew up Manticore, so it could be the name she was given for the op and then just kept it? Either way, if she's called Sam, then that's probably her name.

freak nation takes place in 2021. proof.

it could mean her name was samantha. remember she was sent out on assignment by manticore and ended up falling for her assignment, so manticore may have given her a false identity like they did alec. or it could have been her unit nickname, but remember that alec didn't have a name until max gave him one. i doubt the x5-R's would want to risk being given more trouble than they'd already had just by being the '09ers twins.

I know it talks about Sam on the x5s page but i dont know wether it says about it being short for sam and it should (like i said im still workin on it!) have the info for freak nation under that episode.

Yeah well actually i wanted to start a supernatural site but with supernaturalfanwiki and supernatural.tv it was kinda pointless given my lack of HTML skill and DA had Jensen. so easy next choice. plus almost every site i could find was old and lacking in the kind of information i would like.
So i decided to make a information archive for it.

But i know it needs alot of work!

When writing the virtual seasons we tried to figure out a timeline for seasons 1 and 2.

We assume Freak Nation end on April 12th 2021. (Which is Max and Logan's 2nd anniversary, but I guess you don't care about that...)

And I don't think Sam has a real name. Max hasn't either.

Hey, actually I was JUST wondering what month Freak Nation took place in, so this is perfect! Thank you!! I'm actually going to have M/L in this latest fic, but alas, it's just mentioned, not explored with any depth except the impact it has on my beloved Alec. :-)
