Recs! Supernatural and Dark Angel - Podfic and Regular Fic

I haven't been doing many recs posts since I went wild with the whole podficcing thing, but I've read/listened to some really good fics lately that I just HAD to share.

Supernatural

The Time Dean was Sam's Girlfriend and Jess Entered the Winchester Family Business by fleshflutter , read by sadcypress  (PG-13; Sam/Dean and Sam/Jess; 1 hr 8 mins) Summary: Bodyswapping and genderswitching plus crack. This is so so so dang FUNNY and sweet and just a riot. fleshflutter  is one of my favorite authors - she's just so clever, and this fic really demonstrates that in spades. Even though one of the pairings is Sam/Dean I wouldn't classify this as wincest, if that squicks you. sadcypress  is such a great reader, too. She has the tones and inflections down perfectly. Everything That Dies by imogenics (Sam/Dean, R). I saw this recc'd somewhere - spnstoryfinders ? as an overlooked essential fic. It's older, but so very well-written and hot - rife with things unspoken. Dreamy and full of great descriptions and longing.

Dark Angel

So I've been making my way through S2 of Dark Angel lately, slobbering over Alec and I've been jonesing for some good Max/Alec. I've only read a few so fat - those that I could find recc'd, so if you have some good ones to rec me I'd be happy to check them out. Anyhow, I just loved this one:

The Hubbard Peak by musesfool . Max/Alec; adult; 3,470 words. Summary: He pretends it's not just biology fucking them both. This is yummy porn from Alec's pov, but it's not just porn - his hopes of something more with Max are touching, as is the sweet ending.

Ooh, I really want to see Dark Angel. Ive been having trouble getting my hands on it lately, and for some reason, when I've downloaded the first couple of episodes, they don't have any sound. Its very depressing. Can't wait to see it though. I'm contemplating just buying it. Worth it, you think?

I'm digging it so far - although there are 2 eps in the 2nd season so far that Alec isn't in (sob, choke!) - those are the only 2, however. I'm hoping that he's more than just a minor character in the rest of the season.

Did you try tvfreeload.com? The links farthest down in the post seem to be good - although they are mislabeled.

I'd definitely suggest Beeper Wars. It's very much a crack!fic but I love it. There's some serious Logan bashing too. It actually hasn't been updated for awhile but what's there is worth the read. If you're looking for fluff then I'd recommend Wake Up Call.

There's good Dark Angel fic? Where?

M and I did the entire DA thing over the course of a week or so last summer - the DVDs were really cheap, and Jensen! So pretty! Even if the show was frequently quite aweful, he was great in it. Have you gotten to the ep with the glasses and the piano playing yet?...*iz ded from shallow*

There's some really sick part of me that longs for Alec/Joshua porn.

Jensen looks so much younger - even though it was only 6 years ago! lol about the show frequently being awful. Yeah, I can see what you mean. Alec makes it worthwhile though, I suppose.

Just had to stop by and say that I love that fleshflutter podfic with a burning love of adoration, (despite the S/D). The writing comes off as _effortless_, and the reading is just amazingly wonderful. Sadcypress is the awesomesauce.

Love how much Jess gets to do in the story, and how pleased Dean is for finding Jess for Sam. It's cute as hell and I love it more than zombies love brains.

Thanks for the link! I wouldn't have picked it up because of the S/D, but for your rec. And that would have been a shame.
