Supernatural 6 x 15

Wow, I've been posting a lot lately. Here's another one! My initial reaction to last night's Supernatural epi was a decided MEH, possibly because it had been so hyped and I had been spoiled for so much of it. But I just rewatched it and there was a LOT to like. What I liked - and my very favorite parts in red:

• Dean saying, "I feel like this whole place is bad-touching me."
• Misha's tweets - and his glee in doing them. And his wardrobe. Which is actually pretty accurate, from what I've seen of Misha's pics.
• The expression on Dean's face when he was watching Jensen's Days of Our Lives clip and the way he closes the laptop.
• That wimpy crew guy who was running alongside the Impala when Dean was trying to drive it off the lot
• Dean's upset that they're not even in America
• Jared's house - in particular the pics of Jared and Gen everywhere, and Dean's: "Dude, there's a camel in your backyard."
• The background shot of Jared and Gen's wedding picture and RIGHT next to it was the picture of a HUGE alpaca head. LMAO!!!
• The International Otter Adoption Charity Dinner.
• Jared's cowboy pic
• The reference to Dean Cain as Superman - "That man's a real actor."
• "Jared and Jensen were seen beating an extra to death."  "But not ALL the way to death - he could definitely still run."
• Misha's delightfully wimpy character
• Gen's mascara-smeared crying about Misha's death
• The bum talking about "Raphael like the Ninja Turtle" and "the attractive crying man"
• The yellow caution tape with the little Canadian leaf symbols on it
• Sam's "We're not even brothers here." AWWWWWWWWWW
• Kripke's epic western death
• CAS WITH WINGS
• Cas/Dean SIGNIFICANT LOOKS (ie eyesexing)
• The transition to the dirty, grubby, dark real world of the Winchesters
• Raphael's new vessel looks SO kick ass. I was bummed we lost the old vessel - he had the most delicious voice!

More stuff that struck me:

• That Virgil guy was pretty frightening. 
• Dean's alcoholism - they ARE going to deal with this at some point, right? Like, with Delirium Tremens or something? And by the way, that would make an awesome h/c fic, if any writers need a plot bunny ...
• My God but there are so very many PRETTY PRETTY people on this show. It's really unfair that I have to go look in the mirror afterward and see a very normal dumpy looking person staring back at me.

Now I need to find something to occupy myself with for the rest of the day. It's quite beautiful out and I've already taken the dogs for a 1.5 hour hike. Maybe some yoga.

I need to rewatch. There was so much going on to totally appreciate it.
I loved the references to alternate and SPN world. Misha's tweets, Jared and Gen's wedding pic....just brilliantly tied in. LOVED it!!!
I'm with you on the things you've got up there....just a genius episode xxxxx

Yeah, it definitely had a lot going for it, for sure. Ben Edlund is becoming my favorite writer of epis!
