twasadarkAustralia is in the grips of some terrible flooding right now, both in Brisbane and Queensland. My knowledge of Australian geography is lamentably lacking, but I am thinking of my Australian flisties and praying for your safety and the safety of your loved ones.
I've been in a 100-year flood before and have vivid memories of snakes floating in from the desert and people navigating to work on inflatable inner tubes. Flash floods are a scary fact of life if you live in a desert area.
