eek! I am always so out of the loop on these things--just when I'd grown to love delicious, too...Is there an easy way to export one's bookmarks (to...? one's hard drive?) thanks for the headsup!
I hear you! I guess that many people are switching to http://www.diigo.com/ I'm not sure whether I'll be signing up with them or not. I was so proud of myself for figuring delicious out, lol.
I personally don't have one, but I creep everyone else a lot (don't judge me), and it just make it 10 times easier to find everything when it's all neatly organized like that :(
Good luck - I haven't decided yet whether I want to bother. I haven't been reading much fic these days. Still ... I could be missing out on so much! Argh!
Oh lordy! And I've been adding so many links lately of stuff I might want to read at some point in the future, and all the WIPs that I don't want to read until they are completed.
Now I have got to go and copy & paste it all in Word! Pah!
It is definitely a pain, isn't it? You can export your entries into an htm file, which is helpful, because you can then import them into another service like http://www.diigo.com/. But that means getting used to another service ... bummer!
I've read that too. It's awful. I've grown really attached to my Delicious account and I know for a fact that other fans are using it to find stuff to read. So, to move everything (again - it's not like I started out on Delicious) is a real bother *hates*.
And I must second some of the comments I read so far: After (almost silently) shutting down Geocities, this is another big blow to something that is widely used.
