Part 2 of Vancouver Trip

After the gardens, I walked and walked around Victoria, and had something for an early dinner called a naanwich that was chicken and mango chutney with lettuce, carrots, and cabbage and wrapped in naan bread. More num num. Got back to the hotel in Vancouver by about 9 pm, where Katherine and I met up. She was our 7th roomie for just one night, lol. We went to the Steve Carlson concert at 10 pm, which I frankly found to be a big snooze fest. No energy. Anyhow, there was a karaoke thing afterward which was a lot of fun and featured a bunch of familiar faces:

Saturday started with registration around 9:30 where I met up briefly with chiak, then went into the panels: Aldis Hodge who was very sweet and mostly talked about Leverage - and the hatred he got from SPN fans over killing Sammy as Jake. The kid who played the third Winchester brother (Adam) Jake Abel was at his first con. He was adorable and had some good fart-related stories about Jared, lol. Then there was the Ghostfacers. YAWN. Sorry but I don't find them that funny. Dumb, yeah. The guys are sweet, though. Then of course there was Misha! No pics from these because my camera makes them way too dark. Plus there are a bajillion piccies over at the Supernatural Wiki.
Misha was so great - I love the way he loves interacting with the fans and learning about us. Creation made the stupid decision to have people submit questions beforehand and then have a moderator read them. Misha asked to take questions live from the audience and that was AWESOME. So much better. Had to lol about the girl who asked what he'd do for a living if he got in a plane crash and lost the use of his legs!? Everybody booed her and he told her (jokingly) that was a terrible question and that she should think about why she asked that question in a moment of silent reflection. HAHAHA! Anyhow, I think he said he'd be another Stephen Hawkins if that tragedy befell him. There are a ton of excellent vids up, again at Supernatural Wiki.
Sat evening
alaerys and I went out to eat delicious Singaporean cuisine and then went to Celebrities, a gay bar with some very pretty boys and drag queens. I wimped out and left somewhat early and went back to the hotel for some snoozing.
Sunday morning
devidarkwolf and I did a quick location tour walking from our hotel. Inside the church from "Houses of the Holy" (fake angel). I think they filmed Dark Angel's "Pollo Loco" (Ben) episode there, too:

Outside the church with my eyes closed! Woo hoo! LOL

The waterfront. Farther down they filmed that episode with the haunted ship, but we didn't take the time to go down there since we wanted to get back on time for J2:

Sandover Building from "It's a Terrible Life":

Caprica was filming as we walked past, which was cool. The building is called the Marine Building, and has nice marine flavored detail work:

And here's the bank from Nightshifter. Thanks to
raloria for her kick ass location posts that made this possible.

These lovely eagles are all over the city, each decorated differently:

Sunday afternoon was the hour late Jared and Jensen appearances, the Trickster, and Jim Beaver. The Trickster (Richard Spreight, I think) was pretty hilarious. He was so EXCITED to be there, and let slip that he'll be back for S5. Yay!!! No mention of when, though. Jim Beaver totally hit on one of the girls I was sitting with when she stood up to ask him a question. It was pretty funny. She's a babe so I'm not all that surprised though. Oh, and I think the costume contest was on Saturday, but I forgot to put the pic in up farther in the post. My favorite, and the winner, was Coach Dean:

Originally, I was going to go to Steve Carlson's Sunday night concert, but I decided against it. I was tired and not too impressed with him the first time. This time Jensen was there, and while that was tempting, I stayed in and chatted with my roomies instead.
Overall, a GREAT trip. I'm so happy I got to go, although MAJORLY BUMMED that I didn't get to see
dysonrules on this trip. Sigh.
