Epic post of epic hugeness! Part 1

twasadarkI'm baaaaaaack from Vancouver and Victoria! Had a WONDERFUL time and met so many great people that it is going to be hard remembering them all!
First of all, I flew into Vancouver Thursday night and took the Canada Line (train) straight from the airport to downtown, then wandered the streets for a little bit before making it to our hotel (the Sheraton Wall Centre), which was seriously awesome, especially since it was literally RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the church used in "Houses of the Holy". Here's a rather bad piccie of it:
Two of my roomies, cutiecay22 and Sari, saw some bigwigs at the hotel who were filming the newest Twilight flick. Also, I heard that this is the hotel that Jensen lived at for the first two years of Supernatural. Sweet!
Friday morning I got up EARLY (4 am) and took a taxi to the bus station, where I took a trip to Victoria on the Greyhound, which took us right on the ferry, then drove us into downtown Victoria. Victoria is seriously beautiful. Some pics of a nearby park:
These woodland creatures were wandering about the park, lol:
I wandered about downtown Victoria for a little while, and had this for brunch, eggs, cheese, and Canadian bacon on a croissant. Num num:
The Gray Line wanted $19 for a round trip ticket to Butchart Gardens, so I took the city bus for $3, I think. MUCH better. It went right to the gardens, which are SERIOUSLY AMAZING. Witness:
This is my favorite part of the garden, the Sunken Garden, which was originally an ugly limestone quarry pit.
