Comic Con in General

In an effort to convince all of you to come to Comic Con next year, here have some piccies.  Most decidedly NOT dial-up friendly.

This is the view from our hotel room, the newly built Hilton Bayside.  Isn't this INCREDIBLE??? GUH.  I'm slain.  Comic Con is held in the San Diego Convention Center, a humongo building just to the right of this piccie.  You can see a small portion of the line for Hall H programs below.  Comic Con and lines are a happily married couple.

The walk was probably the highlight of the con for me.  At least a hundred of us - maybe more - went shuffling through the streets of San Diego.  I've never had my photo taken so many times before, and been gawked at quite so shamelessly, lol.

SPARTANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, you did take that photo from the wrong angle. And you're supposed to hand the camera to someone else in order to grope them properly. They like to be groped. Or, I assume they do or they would wear something else, right?

I so wanna go next year! It's funny cause I was like telling my older brother he should so go as a spartan from 300 :D .. and he was like *eye roll* yeh right! lol ... I think he'll totally do it though ;)

He's not as big, but yeh he's got broad shoulders and muscles and stuff... I tease him though because even though he works out and is obviously getting bigger, he's still soft and probably smaller, no definitely smaller than the Spartans .. lol

We saw John Barrowman!!! He was signing autographs about 5 feet away from us. My friend paid for one, but I just stood around and gawked. He had a very gorgeous man with him - maybe his hubby? Anyhow, he's QUITE beautiful in RL just as on TV.

Awesome photos! I soooo want to go next year! I was talking to another friend about doing it next year and she wants to go in costume with me :P Tee hee hee... could be fun :P So I DO plan on going next year!!! I'm glad you had a great time!

Yay!! I'm glad you're planning on going next year. It's SUCH a blast! We bunked up 5 to a room so that made the hotel cost quite reasonable. :-)

And YAY for going in costume. It's the one place where that sort of behavior is completely okay, lol.
