Postcards and Lucifer and Summergen, Oh My!

First, thanks so much to zomzoms  and seethingheathen  for your postcards! You girls rock!! And I TOTALLY want to move in with visit zomzoms in her hometown. Very cool! I still have twelve lonely postcards on my desk. Want one? Anyone else?

 

Second. Last night's finale of Supernatural. I don't want to harsh anyone's squee, but I'm kinda of 'meh' about it. I loved the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes but found everything in between rather boring, to be honest. It's hard to make a story exciting if one character is stuck in a room (and there's no one there to molest). LOL Anyhow, I AM vastly relieved that Bobby didn't die and that the boys don't hate each other. That's FAR more important than that whole “Lucifer roaming the earth” thing.

Oh, and can someone explain to me WHY the angels want Lucifer to come back. So they can kick his ass? I didn't really get that. Maybe it will become clear after I watch the ep again.

For the first time I understand why people get bent out of shape about knowing the episode title beforehand. This one pretty much spoiled the entire ep.

I'm pretty meh about it too. Not terribly disapointed but it didn't rock my world.

I took a poll about the ep and it seems like more fans are upset and wondering what happened to Cas. Welcome to the fandom, Misha! You've offically replaced the J2 fandom squeefest.

I haven't read it in awhile but, if memory serves, the final vision in the Book of Revelation (sorry, Show) is about rebuilding New Jerusalem - the final victory of Heaven over Hell. Based on that logic, there could be a contingent of angels who believe that their victory is assured because of that fact.

But, as I said, it's been awhile since I read it. ;)

We do know, though, that some of the angels were on Lucifer's side because of their disdain for humanity. I'm still trying to figure out if Zachariah - based on the above and his comments about God having left the building - was part of that faction or not...

Yeah, the episode was beyond predictable. But Bobby still being alive and the boys actually being together at the end left me with a good feeling for a change.

I know what you mean!! I was DREADING it, thinking that the boys would be at odds because something utterly gut-wrenching had occurred. And Lucifer just ain't that big of a deal, LOL.

Oh, I was so nervous before the episode. But yeah, who cares about Lucifer when the boys make up? lol. And Bobby's not dead.
