Happy Meme - Day 6

I have two very different happies today. 

This really bad picture shows protesters carrying on about paying taxes in my very conservative, nothing-ever-happens suburb.  It made me feel good to see people taking to the streets not because of the increase in taxes (because really, I don't mind paying taxes if it means they will make life better) but because I feel really lucky to live in a society that allows free expression and varying viewpoints:



And here's where I took my dog on a hike today. I feel very blessed to live within a 10 minute drive of such a beautiful place.

There were protesters in front of a post office here, too, somewhere in downtown Chicago *eyeroll* The reporter said a lot of the people there had no idea what they were protesting. They just showed up to mail their taxes & saw the other protesters & joined them.

I was at our tax rally here in Atlanta and I'm not even what one would call "conservative" or "republican". lol It was for everyone! But you do have to admire the ability to assemble and protest because we are granted that right of free speech.
