Fic Recs: Long and lovely fics (Sam/Dean)

One of the great pleasures of my life is curling up with my cats and reading reading reading.  Here are a couple of stories that I loved.

This November Life by dontyouwaitup - 5 long luscious parts, R rated - Sam/Dean.  Summary: Post AHBL. Sam and Dean have been saving one another for their entire lives.

    This is such a satisfying read.  The emotions are palpable and the buildup to the story's resolution, to physical and emotional culmination, is simply perfect.  I love Sam's anger and frustration and Dean's easygoing devotion.  This is more than just a "Sam and Dean do it" fic.  Well worth your time.

I Got Me a Nice little Place in the Stars by luzdeestrellas - 3 parts, PG - Sam/Dean.  Summary: Dean comes back into Sam's life after ditching him a year ago.

    The characterizations really shine in this fic - there's so much emotion beneath the surface.  The story takes its time bringing that emotion into the light of day.  The long, slow, lovely build to a conclusion that includes Hendrickson and a bunch of spirits is wonderfully satisfying.
