I think they're thinking RL is a pain in the ass. *g* No, seriously, one of them did an amazing job on most of it, but I think the end (or the way it was going) disappointed her, and the other, I let off the hook because she didn't realize it was a 70K-word story when she offered. I really, completely understand in both cases, it's just, as you say, a little bit of a let-down. Not their fault!
