A beautiful, beautiful story. Left me in tears, but many of the best ones do. Thank you so much. This was very special. Love, Robin

Nicely done. I like how full of wonder “Sam” is here, and Dean’s reactions to him were quite amusing. And there was a nice sense of melancholy at the end.

Btw, I didn’t realize you’d lived in Arizona. I’m in metro Phoenix. We have awesome Mexican food here. :)

Favorite lines:

“Wait,” Dean says. “Maybe there’s some sort of spell that turns you into an idiot?

LOL!

Sam crams the gumball in his mouth and chomps on it like a horse

Good analogy and great image. :)

Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I treasure all comments :-)

A fellow Arizonan, huh? Awesome! I lived in Metro Phoenix for many years before coming out here to L.A. The heat finally did me in! Sure do miss the food, though.

Moving...

Have you ever read "Care of the soul" by Thomas Moore?

It sounds very very familiar, but no, I don't think I have read that book. Something tells me that I tried at one point, however. Did the story remind you of it?

I've been in Mesa, Ariz., for almost my whole life.

I can imagine how you'd miss the Mexican food there in California. Ours is better here. *g*

Beautiful. How like our Sammy to let someone use his body for a day to remember what being alive feels like. And how sad, somehow, that the first thing Dean thinks when Sam starts noticing the wonders of the world is that he's been possessed.

That was just completely and utterly beautiful.

This is - hands down - one of the best SPN stories I have ever read.

Just...wow!

Thank you so much for sharing.

Your stories always work on so many levels that it never gets boring!

First, you totally fooled me with the title. It didn't catch the Halloween reference, but since I'm a horror fan I somehow expected this to be a story about zombies. LOL, talk about surprises!

Then, there's the humour bordering on crack again. Sam's childlike awe and fascination was so damn palpable. Like Dean, I was somewhat worried while being enchanted at the same time.

And lastly, you're bringing in a few religious references again, turning the story around in the last paragraphs. That's some wicked awesome writing!

Oh, thank you so much for the comment about levels! I seem unable to write *without* levels, which is at times frustrating because it hurts my little brain to come up with them, lol.

I'm so glad you liked this story. It's one that I haven't received a lot of comments on, so I'm especially pleased when I get them.

And btw, zombies FTW!

(I don't suppose you are vampmichelle over on twitter?)

I like levels, they're what makes a story interesting - at least in my opinion. And what I like about your stories is that, even after reading only a handful, I already have a feeling that I know what themes you prefer in a story. And even though those themes come back the stories are not repetitive.

Oh, and yes, vampmichelle is me. I just used the account to follow some people and to post fic announcements - nothing fancy going on there:)
