I love this pairing probably a lot more than I should. Maybe it's self-indulgent and I'm not a Jo-hater, but Dean/Ellen makes a lot more sense to me than Dean/Jo ever has.
This is also one of the best codas to the ep that I've seen yet. As sad as this is, it's still better than the way we left Dean last week.
I like this line:
“Hey,” Dean says when she walks in on him and Johnnie Walker having a private conversation.
...not just for the dry snark of it, but for the way it emphasizes Dean's newly solitary state. The ending is near perfect as well. I enjoyed this.
