Well, some of it (like La Roux and Little Boots) I like is a bit disco junk like, but I kind of like that :D I should have provided some links but I couldn't be bothered :')
Regina Spektor is very good, although I think I'm one of the few who doesn't unconditionally love her earlier work above all else (she can be a bit pretentious or 'HEY LOOK AT HOW DIFFERENT AND QUIRKY I'M BEING') but songs like Samson or Oedipus or Us are gorgeous. And Chemo Limo makes me cry every time I listen to it.
The others aren't REALLY well-known, so don't feel bad about not knowing them ;)
