I'm in love!!

So, a little more than a week ago, justy213 and I went to the South LA Animal Shelter, where she adopted a beautiful little kitty. While we were there, "Bernard" caught my eye. He jumped up and started meowing as soon as we came into the room where he was kept. I went home but couldn't get the little guy out of my mind. Dave said we could get him and still I waffled back and forth.  I mean, holy hell!  I have twenty some birds, 2 cats, 2 dogs, a turtle and a goldfish.  But, of course, in the end I relented.  Here's my little guy:





He's so sweet and affectionate.  He's about 6 months and just 6 lbs.  The vet said he has a little belly already and to watch that I don't feed him too much.  Yeah, we'll see how I do with that.  :-)  Anyhow, his previous owner named him Bernard and I'm going to keep that name. Even though it sounds sort of ridiculous for such a little guy.  LOL

Awwwww Bernard is a cute name!!! Goes well with mine: Rodney & Murray. They all have old men names! XD He's very cute too, I'm glad you got him!

Rodney and Murray - those are good cat names!! My daughter named her turtle Ralph, which I thought was pretty hilarious. :-)

KITTY!

My 12 year old tuxedo cat, named Marbles, died in january.

I miss him so. He was about the size of your little guy when we got him.

Aw, Bernard looks so mellow now. Not like at the shelter where he was hanging upside down. I'm so glad you and Dave decided to get him.

Today was the first day she was alone for more than just a couple hours and she was so happy when I came home.

Bernard is turning out to be quite the little spazz. He's running around the house nonstop and the other cats (who are twice his size) are cowering in the garage - what wimps!!
