Back again! A really good exploration of Dean's character. "Game Face" certainly describes his usual personal very well. It's what he's learned in his childhood. He needs to act all grown up to prove himself to his dad, because he thinks that's what he'll expect of him. And he needs to be strong and responsible for Sam, because he's the big brother and that's what big brothers do. But everybody cracks at some point, even someone as stoic as Dean!

Just found this through a rec and loved it! Awesome. I so wish that the show had shown Dean starting to crumble under the pressure a bit more, but no doubt that was just one more thing we lost due to the strike...

I really liked this story! it was one of the few that I've read that have actually captured Dean and Sams relationship so realistically!
