Whaaaa?

I just read BuddyTV's interview with Sera Gamble (p. 2) in which she uses the terms squick and meta.  These are pretty much fandom only terms, right?  Or am I sadly mistaken?  Does this mean that Sera is a REAL LIVE fangirl?????  Am I the last one in the world to know this?  Inquiring minds want to know!

And yes, the interview is somewhat spoilery.

HEE. Of course Sera is a fangirl. Look at her eps! They all read like fanfic. That's why we love her so.:-)

She gave us shirtless Sammy - twice. She's a total fangirl.

I thought those were strictly fandom words, too. Or at the very least sci-fi genre words. So, she probably is a fangirl.

i heard that she hangs out at some of the boards and stuff .. i don't remember where i heard it so i can't prove it but i think she is a real live fangirl

what a gorgeous banner!

I think she probably spends a little too much time at Television Without Pity. LOL Just my humble opinion.

I do know that Sera has published erotica, and I'm pretty sure she's the person who originally described SPN as the "epic Romance" of Sam and Dean. IN the old fashioned sense of "romance" being the thrilling adventures of brave knights and such.

But I'm a fangirl - it's my television-given right to misread and misconstrue.

meta doesn't seem TOO fandomy, but squick definitely is. Sera is totally a fangirl. I love her more and more each day. She gave us AHBL!

I think I heard meta before, but those two words aren't really used much outside of fandom, I believe :)
I want to like Sera Gamble, really, but she's also had some serious missteps.

BUT THOSE EPISODE SUMMARIES SOUND FREAKING AWESOME
I, for one, am excited for episode fourteen with all the extreme gayness

Meta is commonly used at my office, too (programming), so I don't know about it, but I think Sera is a fangirl for sure *g*

I'm not following the link because I'm avoiding spoilers but I have to say I do really enjoy it when the internets spills out into real life. Every now and then I'll catch someone using a word or phrase that I know is fandom related and I'll be all, a-hah! (only I won't actually say it out loud, otherwise they'd be onto me too). I reckon Sera squees with the best of 'em.
