I dun good and WRITING

Okay, first the important news. My cockatiel mama now has THREE EGGS in her nest box!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Aren't you hysterically excited just like me????  What?  You're not??  LOL  In other bird news, I'm now the proud owner of 4 more cockatiels and 2 canaries after attending the local bird show on Sunday.  It's really hard to take pics of birds through their cage, which is why these suck, but here's a couple of piccies of the canaries:

Action shot!!

The male is yellow and the female has this little tuft of shaggy hair atop her little birdy head. Sooooooooo cute!!  I think I'll call her Mo after the Stooge with the bowl haircut.  Except that I always hated him.  Anyhow, aren't they amazing??  :-)

Okay, enough of that.  I managed to write EVERY SINGLE DAY during the[livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo !!!  Okay, a couple of days it was EXCRUCIATING, and I only got 60 words done, but for the most part, I exceeded my goal of 100 words a day by 3 or 4 times, and many times I wrote even though I thought I had nothing to say .  Lookie loo:

Along these lines, I've decided to set up a writing community to debut January 1, 2009.  The idea is to support myself and others to write EVERY SINGLE DAY, on any sort of project - fanfic, original fic, nonfic, school essays, whatever.  I'm a writer, dammit.  I have to stop letting myself procrastinate my life away.  I've proved to myself that I can write every day despite the fact that I'm afraid it will be crap, blah blah blah.  Anyhow, please consider joining.  [livejournal.com profile] thedailywriter

[livejournal.com profile] thedailywriter

And please pimp it!! :-)

Cockatiel eggies~ Are you going to be handraising the babies? Because I'mma wish you luck right now if you are. ♥ Suckers are little bastards sometimes. And the male is going to try to BITE YOUR HEAD OFF when you take them away, ahahhahaa.

I'm glad you're enjoying your birds, though. *g*

I haven't yet decided about handraising them yet. I think they'll hatch before Christmas and I'll be out of state for a few days over the holiday. LOL about the male - I actually think that the female will try to peck my eyes out. She seems very protective right now.

I do love the little critters. And not fried and dipped in ranch dressing as my hubby keeps suggesting. :-)
