Notes: My late entry for da_halloween. This was supposed to be a crack fic, except that crack fic is funny, right? This totally isn’t. Anyhow, the prompt was: 45. Genetics made them do it! Heat kicks in and Alec and another transgenic have sex. The prompt kind of … got away from me. Thanks to amory_vain for betaing and enduring my whining.

That was excellent. Great characterisation and totally believable. I even bought Logan hugging Alec, which shows how well it was written. And although killing Joshua was a bit shocking, it really fit with the dark tone of the story.

This was amazing. I can't believe you killed Joshua. Besides Max, his death is probably the only thing that would devastate Alec to that degree. I'm still weepy even though I'm happy that Alec and Sam are together.

Oh, sorry for making you weepy! I really like Joshua, but for some reason this story called for his grisly demise ... I'll have to write a shmoopy story in which he lives happily ever after. Except that I don't really do shmoop that well.

Great story. I wonder if it could work out? Sounds like Sam and Alec are in a similar place, so maybe they would be able to work out their issues with each other. Should certainly do them both some good just trying.

First off. You killed Joshua!!!!!

Besides that BIG fact, I loved this story. Oh, Alec. I was so sad for him, pinning away for Max. Him breaking down with Logan. Damn!

Hopefully he'd really learn to be with Sam, and not have her just be Max-redux. I think he was heading in a good direction.

Great job! Besides, you know. Killing Joshua!!!

Incredibly difficult, but also moving, and I was stunned by the power of your prose. I hope Alec and Sam can find their way back to TC and be part of that community. Alec has real friends in Max and Logan, and I hope that he and Sam can come to see it.
