Comic Con!
My favorite time of year is fast approaching. COMIC CON!!!!! I'm getting all shivery just thinking about it. Is anyone out there in flisty-land going?
Sorry I've been so absent lately. Good things are happening in my life, though. I've been getting more freelance assignments lately and moola is always good news, right? Also, with
calamitycrow 's encouragement, I turned chapter 2 of my graveyard book into my (keeping fingers crossed) publisher's so hopefully I'll have a contract soon.

We're looking for a couple more roomies for our room so if you know anyone who doesn't mind sleeping on the floor for an excellent room (we're right next to the convention center) please do let me know. :-)

My traveling companion and I know nothing about comiccon, except for stuff we've seen on the news etc. and we decided to go after we saw a youtube video of Jeffster [from Chuck] playing last year!
Have you been before?

Wow, there's so much to say. Basically, there are a billion people and lines for EVERYTHING. You're planning to go to the Supernatural panel Sunday mornng, right? If you want a decent seat you'll have to get up quite early. I usually haul my ass out of bed by 6 am and get down to the convention center to wait in line. I think it's in Ballroom 20 this year though so that might make it not as necessary to wait in long lines as Ballroom 20 is a bigger room.
The Zombie Walk is something fun to do - http://www.sdzombiewalk.com/?page_id=9 I've never had my picture taken so much in my life as during this event, lol.
The info for the 2010 Slasher's dinner isn't up yet, but here's last year's page - http://www.scurvyandplague.com/slashersdinner/ The new page will be up within the next couple of weeks. It's always a fun time.
The programming guide will be coming out within the next couple of weeks and then you'll see the true insane range of things available to do. I haven't even ever made it to Hall H which is the biggest hall and has many of the movie stars and trailers and whatnot. This year I'll make it though.
Here's a preliminary schedule of the TV appearances: http://www.seat42f.com/comic-con-2010.html
Let me know if you have any other questions. :-)

We'll definitely want to be at the Supernatural thing on Sunday morning. I didn't even realize there was a schedule up! like a true newbie, I've only been checking the official site and didn't know about any of these other things.

I was just whining to neros_violin that they aren't listed on the panel! I've been whining for DAYS.
And the bag! MUST GET BAG.
I'm getting really excited! I think my co-workers are getting pretty sick of "And at comic-con I'll be going to this and to that, and then this show is there and that show is there too...."
*does nerdy happy dance*

Oh, look at this, too - you can set up your own schedule if you want: http://sched.comic-con.org/twasadark/ It's really easy. Also, let me know if you'll be at any of the same things as me and we'll try to meet up before the BIG DAY SUNDAY. :) :) :)

I'm still paring down my schedule, since it's impossible to be in two places at once [unless someone makes that thing hermione had in Harry Potter where she could go back in time to go to more classes] but I definitely want to go to Thurss - 3:30pm - 4:30pm Entertainment Weekly: The Visionaries - at Hall H and I see you are signed up for it too! I'll have my crackberry and maybe we can text each other and figure it out there?

Yes, I was planning on being in Hall H all day on Thursday - it's a BEAR to get into. You basically have to wait in line for at least 2 hours to get in, so whoever gets in they usually spend the day there. Anyhow, I was planning on being there in the morning ... I think.
LOL about the crackberry! Yes, we'll text and figure it out there!
