Why in the world do so many writers pair Sam and Gabriel?  Was there some connection between them that I missed?? Isn't Gabriel a shortypants?  I just can't get my head around the two of them ...

As for the rest of Supernatural, I'm YAY GLAD that hiatus is OVER, but I'm waiting for episodes that will blow me away. Last week's eppy wasn't that. It had its amusing moments, but there wasn't a whole lot of substance there. Ah, well. We'll see what next week brings.

LOL, I dunno, I thought it was a crack ship and people shipped it for the lulz. My impression from canon is that Tricky McGee particular HATES Sam, not the opposite. I've read some pretty hilarious Sam/Gabriel fics, though.

The episode? I really semi-loved it when it aired, but it doesn't hold up as well on rewatch. I still enjoyed it, but yeah, not much substance. Mostly, I'm so damn happy those boyz are back.

Sam/Gabriel? Really? At least he's not with Chuck. He's not is he? I'm behind on my slash.

Meh, I assume it's because the Trickster had it "out for Sam" when they met previously? I don't know. I kind of want to say that people think Gabriel had a thing for Lucifer and now Sam reminds him of Lucifer?

Agreed on the eppy being 'meh'. It had its moments, but left me with an overall feeling of "DO NOT WANT" :( That being said, I loved the lighting in it. It made making icons and graphics loads easier with all the white and brightness, imo.

I've been wondering about the Sam/Gabriel, too, 'cause I just can't see it! I assumed it was because of all the Dean/Castiel fics out there (another pairing I'm not fond of, but apparently I'm in the minority sigh). I read a series of rather dark Sam/Gabriel stories in a comment fic forum the other day that were pretty good once I got past the wth factor, but overall I just really don't see it.

I enjoyed the episode, but it had some serious logic flaws. I'm looking forward to the next one though.

I can't figure it out either. Maybe it's because when I looked at Richard Speight, the last thing I ever want to do is imagine him naked LOL. I could understand the Gabriel himself thing though, outside of the human body. Sam and Gabriel have been around each other a lot more than Sam and Dean, technically. Sam had 100 days alone with him watching Dean die over and over while Gabriel as the Trickster watched Sam. And then they had that big scene at the climax of Mystery Spot. It could be an interesting dynamic. But Richard is just...not sexual at all.


Yeah, last week was meh. I enjoyed it because it was entertaining (until the last 10ish minutes when it was so heavy handed and annoying I wanted to hit it with a stick). I'm hoping for a little more POW in the coming weeks as the season (series?) starts to wind down.
