I really loved this fic. I finished it this morning, and I've been thinking all day about what I thought of the fic and why I loved it. This is the first fic in a while that I've wanted to read all the way through. I had to take a break to go to an appointment, and the entire time I wanted it to end so I could finish reading this fic. It reads like a really engrossing novel. I also really want to know what happens next, and the aftermath of the affair.

You tell such a vivid tale, and the stylistic choice of using less modern prose didn't get in the way of telling your story. There's an emotional resonance to this story that I really loved.

The characters are really wonderfully written. I just really loved Jensen, his quiet competence. I really felt for Alona and Jensen. The way you wrote the build up to their affair was believable.

I'm curious about the more slashy sequel, because I wonder how you will deal with Alona in that sequel. I'm not expecting Alona to leave her husband and run off with Jensen, but I'm hoping that Alona's not completely forgotten.

I think this was one of my favorite fics I've read. Just really well done. I look forward to the sequel, and hopefully that's just as good.
