Japan

DAMN! Mother Nature has been one angry bitch lately! Some incredible, terrible pictures from Japan over here:

The last one, with the soldier carrying an old man on his back is especially touching. I'm not feeling too secure about living in Southern California at the moment!

Tell me about! She really needs some prozac. Up here in Canada we had a freak snow storm (after 2 days of torrential rain) that closed down highways and schools. And Japan.... There are really no words for what happened in Japan. I'm in shock after looking at the photos and news reports. It really hasn't sunk in for me yet that this is real, and that there is possibly more to come. It's really just mind blowing.

Did you guys get an evacuation notice? Stay safe, BB.

Yeah, it's pretty wild, for sure. No evacuation notices here - I live about a 40 minute drive inland from the ocean, on the other side of a fairly huge set of hills, so I doubt I'd be in any danger even if we did get a large tsunami, but it's still sobering to think about.

Now it looks like some of the nuclear power plants in Japan are in a bad way. I really hope they can get that situation under control quickly. Yikes!!
