This is magnificently written. This theme has been done many times but you have given it an extra something that made me sit up straight and pay attention, and it was like I was there with them feeling the cold. I had never been in a similar situation before but I know how it is to not be able to stop shivering - right after a surgery a couple of yrs ago and I was shivering like anything, couldn't stop despite the thermal blankets they put on me.
